My project is simple. Having a surface that allows students to access the materials is paramount to learning! Magnetic tiles will give my students the opportunity to create and learn about structures and building. The fine motor development needed for prewriting skills will also be addressed with the magnetic tiles. Fine motor activities such as pulling and pushing and the cognitive skills needed to put structures together will be addressed during this creative play. Not only will students be able to build but they can do other activities with the tiles such as matching, sorting and identifying shapes.
