Our school is comprised of a diverse student population (African American, Hispanic, Indian, Ethiopian, and many others.) The school has 350 students in grades Pre-K to 6th. The students are mostly underprivileged and many are performing below grade level. Accelerated Reader is new for our school this year and the children are excited to go on line to take quizzes on the books they read. It is a motivational tool that requires a computer to access the program. Many of our school's computers are antiquated and obsolete, making the program more difficult to implement.
