I work at Ruth Rains Middle School, in Dixie County, Florida as the 7th grade Civics teacher. We are a rural and poor community. All students receive free breakfast and lunches at our school. Right now, we are slightly behind on working with new technology with our students such as books on tablets and such. I would love to allow my students the opportunity to work with new technology. I would love to allow them the opportunity to work with these tablets to record things such as: them developing a rap to explain the Declaration of Independence, a news cast on the presidential race. They could also use them to research on the web. Right now I have 3 computers in my classroom. It is very hard to have students work on research projects if they don't have access to the web. These tablets would be a wonderful addition to our classroom.
