My school is located in a high poverty area. Many of my students come from homes with parents that are desperately trying to make ends meet, or some students live in shelters with little stability. They come to school looking for stability and excited at the opportunity to learn. My students have many worries in their home life, and do not have the means to buy their own materials to bring to school. Due to this, I supply many of the materials within my classroom. My students work hard every day, and are making great gains in their education. However, both my students and I need help to fill our classroom with needed supplies. My students deserve the best because they come to school every day despite what hardships they are facing at home. Every day, I am teaching them reading skills, addition and subtraction, phonics, and a writing program that is helping them write like they never thought they could. Help my students grow their brains as they work so hard every day!
