I am a literacy and math interventionist at Rousseau McClellan Elementary. We serve 520 students in a highly impoverished school in an urban setting. The school is a universally free lunch school because most of the students are on free or reduced priced lunch programs. My students require additional academic support in order to decrease their achievement gaps. Students meet in small groups and have varying levels of ability. I need materials that will allow my students the ability to engage actively in their lessons. I want to maintain the enthusiasm of my students while teaching important concepts and skills that will increase their academic success.
