I am honored to be able to pilot some terrific math software this year. I tell my students that everyone has gaps and I need their help to find those gaps and patch them so they don't become chasms. These tablets, combined with some great, target-based technology will give me the chance to do exactly that! I'm so excited! These are students who skipped a year or more of instruction due to high test scores, but never got specific pieces from those courses. They are driven, intelligent, and high achievers. Missing pieces of information can be so frustrating for them - and for me! My classes are FULL - so dividing into groups is great, but also difficult. I need to divide my students into groups of 5-6 to be effective. Having these tablets gives me the opportunity to give a group time on independent skill development. I can't wait to see their confidence soar!
