I had an Apple TV receiver in a previous classroom. When I started using it, I noticed a difference in how much my students were working and paying attention. They knew that I wasn't stuck to the front of the classroom and I never had to have my back to the room. They also felt more comfortable working out problems on the iPad at their desks than going up to the board. We need an Apple TV receiver so that I can work with students from any point in the classroom instead of being stuck to my desk or the front of the room. My students will get more individualized instruction when I'm able to move freely in the room. I have found that when I am able to walk around the room while I am giving instruction my students take more notes, are less distracted, and complete more of their classwork. It will help me make sure that all of the students are working because I can be working on the board and walking through the classroom at the same time.
