Greetings from Koreatown in Los Angeles, CA. My name is Naomi Kohl, and I teach Visual Art at Rise Kohyang High School, part of the Bright Star School family. We are a founding high school program serving students in 9th and 10th grade this year, and we will continue to expand adding one grade level per academic year. Rise Kohyang translates to an uplifted, interconnected, strong community. Our school's Mission is to educate students holistically; developing skilled, empowered young adults that are prepared to succeed in life and give back to their Kohyang (community).
