A set of soft furniture like the large color wheel cushion and beanbag chair will provide a safe and flexible space for my students to relax, vent, or unwind in our "Cool Down Corner". My goal is to create a classroom that is creative, cheerful, and welcoming as my students are! All too often, the challenges students with autism face are magnified by rigid school environments. This furniture will provide accommodations that allow my students to overcome sensory processing difficulties, and let their talents and gifts shine through. Creating a safe "cool down" space will help me provide every student the classroom they deserve.
