The goal of this project is to get five Chromebooks that will stay in our classroom for daily use. Right now, the limited technology we have is shared among six classrooms. These Chromebooks will be vital in the successful implementation of Guided Math. This will allow every student the opportunity to be assisted in growth and enriched beyond grade level as determined by their pre-assessment for each standard taught. Each student will have access to technology EVERY DAY, allowing them to become fluent in computer science skills, effective communication skills, word processing, mathematics fluency, and problem solving. Guided math groups allows students to have constructed curriculum with the teacher, technology based learning, with Moby Max and Prodigy Math, hands on practice using problem solving skills, manipulative and games, and direct fluency practice. Research shows this type of teaching greatly increases the growth of student learning.
