Hello, I teach beginning, Intermediate, Advanced and AP art at the high school level. I teach a hugely diverse group of students ranging from 9-12 grades, special needs to gate/AP sometimes all of these things in one section/period. These students come from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds, and many from poverty situations. Art is hugely influential in their lives; it gives them an escape creatively,teaches them to problem solve on a critical level and broadens their knowledge of the world in and outside the classroom. I have some incredibly talented students and wish to encourage their knowledge and talent.
