The students of my school are extraordinary, resilient people who inspire and teach me new things every day that I am with them. Approximately 95% of the students in our school receive free lunch, which means that most students eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at school. About 70% of the students I serve are English language learners. This gives me the opportunity to work with, learn about and incorporate cultures from Myanmar (Burma), Central America, Bangladesh, Laos, Algeria and America into my classroom! Regardless of the struggles my students and their families face, their eagerness to learn and improve is always present. I strongly believe that every student deserves a high-quality educator and education that will prepare them for a gratifying life. What better way to help these students in need than to provide them with access to technology that will enhance engagement, learning and lifelong success?!
