"My Exciting Community" relates to many topics in the Scholastic News weekly readers such as voting, seasonal changes, and classroom rules. The Scholastic Magazine will provide engaging fiction and nonfiction reading materials to encourage students to read beyond the curriculum. I want students to know that learning does not just happen in a text book. Answers to questions and imaginative stories can come in a variety of print and through digital resources. The Scholastic News readers have fantastic online resources. I want my students to enjoy reading in hopes that they will find their passion and become life long learners!
