I am truly amazed at the masterpieces an elementary art student can create when given materials and a little guidance. Whether we are creating Matisse inspired collages, learning the science of color mixing, or creating original Pokemon designs these kids sure do know how to impress.
Every year I try to give my students a variety of materials to experience. Unfortunately, our precious supply of materials is dwindling and we need your help. With these materials, we will be continuing our art explorations and creating new masterpieces to show off at the spring art show. Our fifth graders will be using the sharpies and construction paper to complete their original Pokémon designs and turn them into poster size Pokémon cards. The watercolors will be used by our 2nd graders to continue our study of different cultures. We will be focusing on Asian art and create a painted screen. The markers, crayons, and smaller construction paper will be used for kindergarteners to create a Cat in the Hat portrait. The tempera paint will be used by 1st graders to complete a minion project.
Elementary students are great artists and thanks to your donation, my students will be able to continue to create great art. Thank you!
