My students need many literacy-rich experiences and many opportunities to engage with the English Language. As my kiddos are all little learners new to Standard English, they all will benefit from having fun and interactive ways to build their language and literacy skills.
These materials will allow me to keep lessons engaging, hands-on and interactive, which is critical when teaching young learners. In the beginning of kindergarten, students will learn letters and letter sounds. Letter and letter-sound fluency is the foundation of reading and writing skills. The letter tubs will be a great tool for helping my students learn letters and their sounds, and for reinforcing phonemic awareness. Additionally, these tubs will help build my students' vocabulary.
The Instant Language Centers will get a lot of use in our classroom. They will be used during small group time and in learning-centers. The centers cover a range of concepts: beginning sounds, rhyming, story sequencing, sight words and writing sentences. They will provide many opportunities for students to actively engage with each skill in a way that fosters independence and peer collaboration.
Please help me bring new fun and engaging ways for my students to learn critical language and literacy skills! They deserve it!
