I work with approximately one thousand K-12 students. We are a great district, with a cohesive vision for continuing to build on the student learning. The students are eager to learn, but sometimes have to be given an incentive. Technology can be a great tool to draw in students. Something as simple as using an iPad to look up a book in our library catalog can actually increase circulation numbers and student engagement. To keep up with the changing times, my role as librarian is to help students be effective consumers of knowledge. This includes helping them navigate the technology and tools they will use to access the knowledge.
