I will start the year simultaneously teaching students face to face and remotely, which is a huge challenge. I teach approximately 150 students each day, which means I need a big toolbox to reach everyone, whether they are learning in my classroom or at home. This past Spring, I discovered Nearpod. I know it would be a game-changer for my students this year. Nearpod helps me keep students engaged by offering a variety of activities that address multiple learning styles. It also lets me see how engaged each student was during a lesson, as well as how well they are grasping certain concepts. Nearpod graciously offered its premium features at no cost last Spring. However, to reach all of my students, I would now need to purchase their premium membership, which is out of reach for me.
