The students are in first grade- a critical point for learning how to read. For students to learn to read, it is important that they are interested and engaged in the book's topic. Reading will not be engaging to my students unless they are interested in the topic of the book! Donating to this project to get 60 books into the classroom library will give my students more choices of what books they can read.
