Having a listening center and read-along books to accompany it, will help to boost the morale of many students who struggle with reading. Many of my students shy away from literacy due to the fact that they are basic or below basic in their reading levels. This listening center would be used during their small group time where students will rotate, listen to their books and create stories and write reflections, and create projects from what they've read and heard. Reading is a skill all of our students need to become strong and creative innovators for our future.
