Kindergartners need to be able to recall information that they hear. One way to do this is to listen to books and answer questions about them. The questions will come from the Accelerator Reading program that my school is currently using. Listening skills are important on any level, but even more so during their early years, in which they learn to read. Not only do students gain the skill of being good listeners, but they also follow along identifying new words. What better way to identify new words. That is why the products that I have selected for my class are so important. They will be instrumental in developing reading skills needed.
