By purchasing the iPads for the classroom, the students will benefit from these during both math and literacy. During Literacy, children will use these for listening centers, and to practice reading to self, or with a buddy. There are also several educational activities the students will have access to on their iPads. Since technology is everywhere in today's world, I'd like to give my students an opportunity to use it more in the classroom. Some children in the classroom don't have the same access as others outside of school. By granting my class extra iPads, all students will have access to this form of technology to enhance their learning. I was also hoping to receive a new rug for our classroom. We spend so much time on the rug during learning time and our morning meeting. It is also a place where the children enjoy reading and playing games. The rug we currently have is 5 years old, and very worn out. A new carpet would be more comfortable for the students, and their learning.
