My students are nothing less than extraordinary. They each bring something very unique and special to our classroom. Some are very shy and other are extremely outspoken. Most of them enjoy working in small groups while others would rather just work alone. But when it comes to presenting in front of the class there are very few volunteers. More than half of my students come from low economic homes. Homes where their parent/s or grandparent/s spend most of the time working to provide for them, therefore most of them are in charge of taking care of themselves and their siblings or their older siblings are taking care of them. My students are forced to embrace adult responsibility at a very young age which causes them to sometimes rebel and misbehave. The demographics of our school would be described as "minority" but in my classroom I try to make them feel like the "majority" instead.
