Hands-on activities allow students to apply content lessons to real-world situations. When studying life science concepts my students need more than just the textbook and internet to help them fully grasp the subject matter. My students need to actually see and feel the subject matter. The microscope exploration project will provide my students the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of organisms, cells, and other microscopic particles through kinesthetic application. The microscope lab kit contains an actual microscope, prepared slides, blank slides, experiment cards, and slide preparation materials that will give my students the tools to become familiar with the microscope and its many uses. The microscope lab kit will allow my students to apply their knowledge of the content to real world applications.
