Getting five year old students to stay focused and stay on task is a very challenging task. At this time of year, it has become twice as challenging because they are so eager to learn and everything seems so exciting and wonderful. I am a kindergarten classroom teacher in a high poverty area at an inner city school. Our school has a very limited budget and we, the teachers, are limited in books and other materials, but our love for teaching makes up for this shortfall with our enthusiasm and excitement in bringing concepts to life in our classrooms.

About my class
