My amazing students come from many diverse cultures and they enjoy the company of school peers and staff. The students have a range of disabilities (Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual disability, Deafness) and they need assistance throughout the school day. My students are happy to integrate with general education students on our school campus. Building community on the school campus is a priority. The general ed students assist my students with work and projects in the classroom. They also help my students build social skills and communication through their interactions with them. Everyday student success is celebrated in my classroom and each student is encouraged to their personal best. Despite their challenges, my students are shining examples of unconditional love and they make a difference in the lives of the people they meet.
