My 30 first grade students love to come to school every day. We are a special family and our classroom is like their second home. Together we create a caring community of learners. My first graders love learning. They come from many diverse cultures, religions, and backgrounds. They have varying levels of ability, however, they are all eager to learn. My classroom is special because we have several students who are level 1 and 2 ESOL students. This means that they are just beginning to learn English as their second language.
