Students are always seeing other classrooms within our school with "cool" and "unique" seating options and are constantly asking me when can we get those in our classroom. I have some options in the classroom for other types of seating, but not enough for every student to be able to utilize during the course of the day. The list I have compiled will allow all my students in years to come to have a choice of where they want to work, if they choose not to work at their desk. Students are always allowed to work wherever they want in the classroom during work time and most students jump to the other options of seating rather then the traditional tables and chairs provided in every classroom. With your donation, students will be allowed to choose between stools, exercise balls, laying on the floor with a lap desk or clipboard, or even standing at a table. All of these diverse materials give students another sense of choice in the classroom as well as another way to be comfortable while learning, questioning, discussing and researching the information at hand.
