Remote teaching from home has become a complex challenge for many educators across the world. Personally, as an educator I've had to become creative in the way I deliver instructions to my students because of the limited teaching tools at home. For example, I've used my personal cellphone mounted to my daughter's play chair as a means to record myself to make lesson accessible to my students.
Nevertheless, the items listed in my project would make my remote teaching experience more equitable for my students. In other words, with the tools mentioned I can deliver lessons in real time for my students to have access to a quality education as they would in the classroom setting. For instance, the document camera and the digital note pad would allow me to deliver lessons, such as a math lesson, right in front of my students as they take notes from the comfort of their home. Additionally, the headphones would allow me to focus on the delivery of my instructions, while blocking out normal distractions that come with the challenges of working from home. And, finally the microphone gear would ensure that my voice is being projected, and not additional noises are picked up during instruction to ensure that my students are able to hear me with clarity.
