Writing is thinking, and my most important responsibility as a teacher is to give students the confidence and practice they need to be critical thinkers. As an English and writing teacher, I help students practice their reading and composition skills in Google apps, StoryBird, and more. Students with access to technology are able to work more efficiently and effectively to improve the skills they need to succeed in our increasingly digital work environment. Although students have their own devices that they are able to bring to school, many do not. A classroom set of Chromebooks would allow us to work together as a class and close the digital divide for those students.
