My brilliant-minded, inspiration-seeking children need books! Students aren't always willing to read, due to the fact that they don't get to choose what they are interested in. I have found some grade level novels that are sure to peak the interest of my students and have them wanting to read more! I will be conducting book studies with engaging skill-based learning activities and discussion to match. This will increase the achievement and success levels among all students, which is the ultimate goal. One of the books that I'm hoping to read with my students is The One and Only Ivan about a gorilla who learns about the value of friendship. The other novel is called Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, which I chose because the students can relate to events of the characters in the book. Your generous donation will facilitate my students' love of reading! A successful feeling in reading will boost their self esteem and confidence when applying themselves to master reading skills in the classroom. They won't want to put these books away!
