Hi, I'm a middle grades Special Education teacher. I teach in a classroom with students who are moderately intellectually disabled and who often have multiple disabilities. I have an average of ten students. Our school is 98% African American and 100% free breakfast and lunch. My students come from a variety of economic backgrounds but, most can barely afford the very basics. I usually provide the majority of school supplies so that parents do not have to worry about that, however after a recent stroke, I was out of work four months and am still on half pay. I'm not asking for myself, I'm asking for help for my students. My pay will soon be normal, and I'll get my stuff straight. I want to be able to provide them some of the supplies other classes have such as computers and tablets. Thank you for considering my request.
