We are a brand new Charter School that just completed our first year. Each department was given a budget, but when you are focusing on fitness, the cost of that equipment is typically out of the budget range. My PE students (K-5) are very dedicated to participating to the best of their individual abilities. This year they learned the importance of being physically fit by exercising, eating healthy and getting proper sleep. My goal is to add the dumbbells, pedometers, exercise mats and resistance bands I am requesting, to introduce my students to the different age appropriate equipment so they can learn how to use each properly and safely. They will have the opportunity to be engaged in even more fitness activities, which will allow them to move their individual fitness level up to the next level.
