Hello! My name is Diane Slack and I am a school counselor! I was blessed to get a grant funded position designed to help improve student behavior at our Title One school. Over 80% of the students at our campus are socioeconomically disadvantaged. Parents and teachers pitch in and we do our best with limited resources. My goal is to help partner with others to help create a comprehensive counseling program that ministers to the emotional, educational, and behavioral needs of our students. While my position is grant funded, supplies for guidance lessons & materials for the counseling environment are not. I've been a public school teacher for nearly 15 years so I know what it means to comb Craigslist & garage sales for great deals but there are a lot of things I still need. If you would like to partner with me as I reach out to these students I'd appreciate your help!
