All of my student are Autistic and attend a separate day school due to behaviors. I believe many of these behaviors are due to lack of ways to communicate their needs. I have 1 student that directs me where to go when he wants something, and this has to be frustrating for him, I know it would be for me. I want to create communication binders for home and school, which will require a lot of color ink. We use pictures of people in their life as along with items they need and want, such as needing to go to the restroom. Just imagine something that simple being unable to communicate to someone. These students all have talents, none of them are mistakes and I intend to make a difference in each of their lives. Please join me in this journey.
