Many students have a difficult time sitting still. Research supports allowing students to sit in chairs that move or are comfortable, keep them on task. By adding wobble stools to my classroom I am able to give my wiggly students a chance to move while working and complete the task at hand. I would utilize these stools at my Guided Reading table where each student would have a turn sitting on the stools Currently all students are sitting on blue plastic chairs because that is all that is offered to them. I am picturing those wonderful smiles when they see these new stools at their teacher table for Guided Reading. One more reason to love reading!
