As the world is changing technology is becoming more and more important in the world of music production. By allowing my students to have access to iPads it will allow my students to explore music more in-depth through music production. Students will be able to research and learn more about music production, as well as create their own musical compositions. Along with music production, there are many other benefits to having iPads in the music classroom. Having iPads will allow my students technology to use when researching different artist and/or styles of music. My students will also be able to practice music theory skills through apps such as StaffWars. They will also be able to use the iPads to watch and record class performances throughout the year; by doing this, students will be allowed to self-critique and become better musicians. William Shakespeare once said "If music be the food of love, play on." With everything going on in the world right now, we need love more than anything. As a music teacher my greatest duty is teaching love through music and with these iPads I will be able to do just that.
