My students had a very emotional year with not only COVID, but also a tragic loss of one of our students. Counseling is needed and I aim to deliver the best I can. Through art my students can feel successful, which will carry over to other subjects. I am teaching them meditation and mindfulness through art techniques. We will be working on zentangle as well as various watercolor techniques to create beautiful collages. We need pigma pens for zentangle as well as watercolor paints, paper, and brushes for our collage. In the classroom we share these materials, but with COVID and distant learning this will not be possible. Students will be thrilled to get an art material kit of their own to use at home for learning.
