As I have stated, our classroom is pretty much bare walls and bare floors. The children have only tile floors on which to sit when we listen to stories or do a group listening lesson. The carpet will be add a bright, colorful, and inviting space for them to come in the mornings for a morning meeting, as well as at the end of the day. Having special place to sit while reading, will encourage them to want add reading time to their day, in a welcoming manner. The little chairs will make a great addition to a reading, or library center, non of which they have at this time.
