I am requesting flexible seating seats, dry erase markers, a sharpener and a new library carpet. These resources will help create a better "Covid environment" for the kids. I think that having a flexible seating classroom will give my students more motivation and more space to work and enjoy being in the class. It will also have an impact on their learning abilities. Flexible seating is definitely a great learning environment for the kids. Students listen to their body and they can work wherever they want and however they want in the class, instead of staying at their desk the entire day. Many studies have shown the very positive impact of flexible seating for kids. We do a lot of Math and Science in my class and kids have to work in groups. Groups are spread all over the class to work independently and some of them seat on the floor a lot, that is why the flexible seating seats and the new carpet could be helpful. Students use whiteboards to take notes and think of experiments they can do to check their hypothesis. Also, we use markers daily, it is really convenient for me to have the kids write their answers in Math on the whiteboard and it is an easy and fast check for understanding for me, the teacher. Unfortunately markers dry fast and we use a lot along the year.
