The performing arts is a pretty big deal on our campus. We teach roughly 41% of the entire campus population. I am fortunate to teach choir and guitar, subjects in which almost every student that walks in my door is there by choice. It is their release. It is their time to shine or be a part of something much larger than just themselves. Our day to day is pretty routine. Students will walk in to my classroom and I will take attendance, warm-up, sight-read, and then begin on the journey of making beautiful music. Another beautiful thing about my students is that it is a very diverse group of students that make a beautiful whole.
