In our International Baccalaureate classroom, my third-graders are regularly collaborating together in their learning. This table will allow students the opportunity to work and learn from the floor, an option many of my students need within in their learning environment. At this table students will be problem-solvers in their math work, research the solar system, animal and plant adaptations, as well as deeply discuss and grow as readers and as thinkers. With the choice in seating that this table will bring, students will be better able to focus on this very important learning! They will be able to choose a learning spot where their body is comfortable, so their mind can focus and learn!

About my class
