I am requesting 6 stand up desks so kids have a place where they can work collaboratively, that allows for movement without distracting others. This year, my students have discussed the best ways that they learn. Many students enjoy working with others, but our classroom doesn't have enough places where groups can work. Some students prefer to sit in traditional desks, some prefer to spread out on the rug, while others focus better when standing. Standing desks will allow students the space for large groups to work, a place where pairs can work, or a place where a student can stand and work independently. The bar on the bottom of the desk allows for movement without disturbing anyone near them. This project will help change the way students learn! Giving students the ability to move and choose their work space, gives them the freedom to work to their potential. Each student will have a space in the class
