Student engagement and motivation can often be a challenge in the classroom. By incorporating high-interest reading into the curriculum, students are more likely to be engaged in the learning process. Students will use these books as a resource to help develop their reading and comprehension skills. The books will also serve as a platform to discuss topics on social issues that are present in today's society. Students will learn to express their thoughts, ideas, and opinions on a variety of topics and draft organized writing responses. It is my goal to inspire both great readers and writers through high-interest reading and writing.
