I am a former elementary school teacher/reading coach turned middle school English & History teacher/common core coach. Because I work in a very small school district, I have had the opportunity to "wear many hats", but my favorite hat will always be that of the learner. I have created a classroom environment that reflects my belief that I am part of the learning community, and I value the lessons that my students teach me every day. I am constantly pursuing new ways to update and upgrade my teaching methods to continue to meet the ever changing needs of the diverse population of students that I work with. I am passionate about student engagement, mindfulness, and collaboration. I am an active Tweeter, Blogger and connected educator in pursuit of learning that allows me to use technology to enhance the learning experience of my students.
