Music and movement is a daily part of my kindergarten classroom. Research has shown that music has a powerful impact on brain function and behavior. Music positively impacts the brain's ability to create new neural pathways growing both auditory and motor skills. Your donation will help expand the musical instrument choices I can offer to my students. When students participate in musical experiences almost all parts of the brain are engaged. Specifically, creating music with instruments helps strengthen parts of the brain that help with planning, motor function, and sensory skills. The instruments will be used daily during music and movement time.
