My kindergartners and I are extremely fortunate to be a part of an amazing school district that is committed to helping students and teachers realize their dreams. In my classroom, Monday-Thursday looks very much like every other Kindergarten classroom across the United States; but not on Fridays. On Fridays, we have Science Friday. During this beloved time, students may work on passion projects or explore S.T.E.A.M. activities. On any given Friday, a visitor may see a student creating a song in Garage Band in an ABB pattern, a pair of students creating a movie about how to build marble run, a few students measuring the hallway with pattern blocks, and another writing a book about Ezra Jack Keats. My students are inquisitive and passionate about nearly everything they see. They want to explore their world and make a difference.
