The students will combine letter recognition and movement with this reading lesson. Students will read the story "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" while learning to recognize the lower case ABC's. Students will listen to the sounds and letters on the computer. After students will come back together as a group and using construction paper they all get a letter assigned to them. They will write and color their letter then glue it to construction paper. Students will be instructed on how to identify parts of the book, front cover, back cover, title, author, and illustrator. Then each student will say their letter and the sound it makes after reading the story. They will then be told to line up around the classroom in the correct ABC order. The students will then go back to their seats and write the alphabet.
