The students of my classroom come from many different cultures and economic circumstances. Some will learn to speak English, some have learning disabilities, and some come from difficult situations at home. All come to me with a deep desire to learn and grow. Few things are as magical to me as fostering that growth through education. This takes two things the lessons I teach, and the practice they get with the materials available to them. The first is within my power to control; the second is where they need a help from you. Over 80% of the students in my school are on free or reduced lunch programs. Many may not be able to buy the books they need to read at home, the materials they need to succeed in class, or the tools that could help them grow towards a better tomorrow. The root of poverty is the lack of education; your donations help me to grow them out of poverty, to build themselves a brighter future.
