The school I work in is a public charter school housed on the local community college campus. Students from all over our highly impoverished county may attend to take college courses concurrently during their regular high school day. Several of the students at my school have really embraced the idea of learning STEM by doing in our new Maker Elective. The students are bright and starving for this kind of challenging work. Our students value our school for the safe and challenging environment we offer.
