All of these resources will allow me to offer a variety of seating choices to the students on a daily basis. The stability balls and wobble chairs can be used with a traditional desk during independent seat work, and as a stand alone seat during instruction. Many students will benefit from the movement that these choices allow, as there will be a combination of tall, short, traditional and alternative seating. The bed risers will be used to raise a table and a group of 4 desks to counter height. Students that are more productive standing can stand, while others will have the option of a stool to use at these tall work spaces. The wobble cushions will be used along with pillows that are already in the classroom at desks that will be lowered to accommodate floor seating. Finally, because students will often not be at desks, they need their supplies to be streamlined for easy transport and accessibility. The combination clipboard/dry erase boards will allow the students to have a means to work and participate in class discussions quickly and be more productive.
